Rock Empire Maillon Delta 8 mm Galvanized Steel Quick Link – 40 kN Screw Gate Connector

When you're building a permanent anchor or rigging a system that absolutely cannot fail, the last thing you want is a connector that's the weak link. The Rock Empire Maillon Delta 8 mm changes that. This galvanized steel quick link brings 40 kN of major axis strength to the table, so you can trust it with your life in climbing, caving, or industrial safety work.

Why it earns its place in your kit

Unlike a carabiner, this delta-shaped maillon rapide is designed for connections that stay put. The screw gate with a threaded nut locks down securely, so there's no accidental opening, even under vibration or heavy load. The galvanized steel construction shrugs off corrosion, making it a reliable partner in damp caves, salty marine air, or dusty job sites.

• 40 kN major axis strength – handles extreme loads without breaking a sweat
• 10 kN minor axis strength – solid in every direction
• Delta shape gives a wide interior space, so you can fit multiple slings or ropes
• Zinc-plated galvanized steel – built to resist rust and wear
• Screw gate closure – locks tight, stays locked
• Certified to EN 362 and EN 12275 – meets European safety standards

Who it's for

This quick link is a go-to for climbers setting up top-rope anchors, cavers rigging traverses, and rescue teams building mechanical advantage systems. It's also a solid choice for industrial rigging, where a permanent or semi-permanent connection is needed. If you need a connector that you can bolt on and forget, this is it.

How to use it

To use, simply unscrew the gate, slide the connector into your anchor point or sling, and thread the nut back on until it's hand-tight. For permanent installations, you can even wrench it down for extra security. Always check that the gate is fully closed and locked before loading.

Pro tip: Use a bit of thread-locking fluid on the nut if you're setting up a permanent anchor – it prevents the gate from loosening over time. And remember, this quick link is meant for static loads, not for dynamic climbing falls – pair it with proper dynamic rope and gear.
